I am half-way through this book and realize that I have used Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) for years. This was the approach we used because of HAZOP studies. If you look at the methodology, they are the same. It is an excellent book for first-pass economics of preventive maintenance (PM). Through numerous examples, he shows when to PM, when you are spending too much for PM, and when to just run the damn thing 'til it breaks. As I said, it is a great introduction. I have picked up Doc Palmer's book and can see I would be lost without preparation. If there are any short-comings, it is grammar and spelling. There are numerous typographical errors. Most engineers seem to have taken an-engineer's only english class in college. I found the errors troubling but the writing clear and concise. A very good book for a refresher (as in my case), or an introduction.If this review was helpful, please add your vote -- Thanks.

As a maintenance engineer and passionate about management I recommend using this book as a guide, I really like it. Perhaps the only criticism is relate to the quality of the presentation.

I could not be more ecstatic then I am right now! I have only begun to read this book, attempting to heal, already giving it 5 stars, specifically for one reason. The book focuses on practice, strategy and developing behaviors to manage anxiety. It's not just about shoving a pill down your throat. I have been diagnosed with generalized anxiety, bipolar disorder 1, ADHD and depression. I can honestly say that anxiety falls even with Bipolar regarding how disruptive it can be in your life. My family jokes that I am a pharmacist, as I can tell them what a medication is normally and tell them what it is for. That should tell you how much medication I have been on which does not include the spinal issues I have, more medication in my cabinet for that then I would like.I am sick of medication being the first thing people think of for an illness. What people tend to forget is anxiety, along with the others I listed and more, are life long illnesses. Medication alone will not help anyone. Arlin gets it! Early in the book you will focus on identifying behaviors or triggers. This information is priceless! I have had to do the same with Bipolar and it has changed my life! Once you are able to identify your triggers, you will be able to cope better in some situations as simply just avoiding it!I am so very excited to finish this book and will update the review if I deem it necessary. However, I don't see that happening. Thank you Arlin for writing such an amazing tool for those of us who suffer from this illness. Take care and thank you again!

This book is great for self discovery. Four stars only because I was hoping to learn a skill set to combat anxiety but have found this is more of a book to learn about myself. I do enjoy it and have partnered it with professional help so the two together seem to work well.

I like this book a lot. It’s sectioned into an intro and 7 weeks of guided CBT. It’s interactive enough that I don’t lose focus, and informational and clear enough that it’s very easily readable.

I think this is written and designed very well and am enjoying using it. I’m not doing it the in 7 week timeframe but it’s still helpful in many ways. Highly recommended to help you find ways (CBT, etc) to help control your anxiety.

I knew I was feeling typical mom stress and that I tend to be a bit of a worry wart, but I didn't realize just how much anxiety I carry around until I read this book. WOW. I can relate to so many of the personal stories and feelings described in the book. I also realized that many of the physical symptoms I regularly experience are probably related to the anxiety.Luckily, this books gives lots of great advice on how to manage anxiety. There are many places to write down thoughts, feelings, and fears. There are strategies on identifying and conquering various types of anxiety, coping with the symptoms of anxiety, preventing relapse, and lots more.I truly think this is a fantastic book for anyone battling anxiety, from those who feel anxious only sometimes to those with full-blown panic attacks. It's not only a huge help for handling anxiety, but it also helps you feel less alone with you read other people's stories. Sometimes that connection and understanding is all you need!I received a free copy of this book from the publisher for my review. All opinions are my own!

Bought this for a family member. She loved it as it helps her through some of her most trying days and gives her helpful coping skills.

book was good but i only ordered it for the cards that came with it. i got 4 card 2012 mickey mantel and yogi berra and 2 more they were cool because i dident have those ones.

Despite the title 100 Classic Baseball cards, we were mislead and thought this was a pack of cards. It is a photo book.

Heavily skewed toward the recent 80s 90s Yanks but a good rendition just the same for all Yank fans today

My husband reminiscences about his boyhood, especially about attending the 1950s-1960s Yankee games. A great book full of memories to give as a holiday/birthday gift. Hmmmm, would be nice to get some game tickets to slip into the book!!!!

I bought this item because I thought it contained 100 baseball cards. When I got it, it was a book for only 4 cards that were recently made. None have much value to it. Based on the title, I was fooled into getting this book, which I bought 2 copies of. I don't like reading personally, so I'm just gonna get rid of the book.

We love these books but if you buy the electronic version, it is UNREADABLE on an iPad. It works well on a kindle, but the screen is very small. On a kindle app on an iPad, the words and pictures do NOT line up, and it’s impossible to read the story. My child was very upset. I had to go buy the hard copy, which was kind of a waste.

In the 4th book of the CatStronauts Series, the CatStronauts go where no one has gone--to a moon of Jupiter--to try and rescue their Robot friend. Exciting reading about the future of space travel.

This rating is for this Kindle version NOT related to the content of the books themselves. This kindle edition is not usable. It crashed my tablet constantly. I think perhaps it is just too much into one book. I wish now I had bought these seperately to have smaller files. Beware if you buy this it may not work.

Edersheim was born to Jewish parents in Vienna 1825. He spoke English in his home, but studied at the gymnasium, Hebrew school and at the University of Vienna. He eventually ended up at Oxford. He converted to the Christian faith through the ministry of a Church of Scotland pastor. His contribution to the background of the Bible through his knowledge of the Hebrew Bible, Talmud and Septuagint are tremendous.

Edersheim is a great author, but the Kindle edition of "His greatest works" is completely unusable. There is no table of contents and not even a way to jump directly to the beginning of 4 or 5 books included in the collection, never mind to any chapter within each book. If you buy this book, have fun scrolling.

If you are looking for historically accurate information concerning the Jewish culture and religion at the time that Jesus was alive, this is a great source. Be aware that it is written at a college level and can be heady at times.

These books old (written over 100 years ago), but they are a great view of the times and culture surrounding the Israelites and the life of Christ. There is an incredible amount of detail considering the age of Edersheim's work. Without question there have been many discoveries in the realms of Egyptology and archeology and history that have corrected some of Ederseim's assertions. That, to me, does not diminish the value of his works. There are still many, many great insights to be gained regarding how the Israelites lived day to day, how they approached temple worship, and other cultural issues that help us understand the Old and New Testaments.There are those that would discredit all of his thoughts and writings based on those things that have been discovered since he wrote these books. What would happen, however, if we applied the same logic to the world of geology or biochemistry. Does the fact that geneticists did not understand something regarding DNA in the 1980's mean that everything they discovered should be disregarded? Edersheim's works should still be studied in the light of recent discoveries.
