Hugely disappointing. A friend bought us this book prior to us spending 6 months in Hong Kong. We've now tried around a dozen restaurants in this guide and without fail have been disappointed with each of them. Sometimes, just aghast with sheer disbelief that some of the restaurants have found their way into the guide. Admittedly, our budget has restricted us to the mid to lower end of the price range, however there is a huge choice of places to eat in Hong Kong. I'm not sure what the criteria is to get listed in this guide, but I would think it doesn't have much of a future given the much more reliable and up to date online information that you can obtain from review websites. I've now been in Hong Kong for several months now and the number of new and exciting restaurants that have opened up in Kennedy Town alone just shows how quickly the scene changes. This kind of guide with an annual update just can't hope to keep up with the pace of change, and as such is a poor way to select a restaurant.
